- NOTICE OF INTENT TO PREPARE A GENERAL PLAN Pursuant to Utah Code ยง 10-9a-203, notice is hereby given that Monticello City intends to prepare a General Plan update. This notice is provided to ensure early and meaningful coordination with affected entities, agencies, and the public. The General Plan serves as a comprehensive, long-range policy document to guide future land use, housing, transportation, moderate income housing, water use and preservation, etc., within Monticello City. The Plan will replace the current General Plan adopted in 2018. Geographic Area Affected: The General Plan applies to all lands within the incorporated boundaries of Monticello City, San Juan County, Utah. Affected entities are invited to provide information for consideration in the preparation of the General Plan. - THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO ATTEND ALL CITY MEETINGS Monticello City Council holds meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, unless otherwise posted, at the Hideout Community Center, 648 S Main, beginning promptly at 7:00 p.m. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, anyone needing special accommodations to attend a meeting may contact the City Office, 587-2271, at least three working days prior to the meeting. City Council may adjourn to closed session by majority vote, pursuant to Utah Code Section 52-4-4 & 5.
