Invitation To Submit a Statement Of Qualifications (SOQ):
City of South Salt Lake Arborist Services Pool
The City of South Salt Lake will accept Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for an Arborist Services Pool. Proposals will be accepted until September 5, 2025 at 3:00pm MST. Proposals may be submitted in person to the City Recorders office at South Salt Lake City Hall (220 E Morris Ave.), or by email at aandrus@sslc.gov , or accepted via direct submission to the Utah Public Procurement Portal (UP3). No late proposals will be accepted, and proposers are responsible for verifying timely receipt of their submission.
The scope of services will include but may not be limited to:
South Salt Lake City intends to create an arborist and tree service pool consisting of one or more qualified companies, so to streamline the contracting process whenever the need for small projects, questions, or services arise. Qualified candidates will be selected for a pool of service providers that can be retained on an as-needed basis. This pool will expire every 5 years after which the pool will undergo the RFQ process again.
Candidates may provide one or more of the requested services:
Pruning to maintain tree health, structure, aesthetics and safety, adhering to ANSI 300 standards.
Major pruning during dormant or slower seasons.
Trimming and removing tree limbs, trunks and stumps.
Removing dead, diseased, undesirable, and invasive trees as directed.
Identifying trees posing immediate safety hazards.
Providing recommendations for treatment, pruning, or removal as necessary
Performing Level 2 risk assessments according to ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification ('TRAQ') standards.
Providing written reports detailing findings and recommendations.
Diagnosing pest and disease issues affecting trees.
Recommending appropriate treatment options with preference for integrated pest management ('IPM') approaches.
Implementing approved treatments in accordance with local regulations
