PUBLIC NOTICE OF SIGNIFICANT NONCOMPLIANCE
PURPOSE OF PUBLIC NOTICE
THE PURPOSE OF THIS PUBLIC NOTICE IS TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENT TO PUBLIC NOTICE INDUSTRIAL USERS THAT ARE PERMITTED BY THE DIVISION OF WATER QUALITY AND ARE IN SIGNIFICANT NONCOMPLIANCE BASED ON 40 CFR 403.8 (F)(2)(VIII). THE FOLLOWING INDUSTRIAL USER FAILED TO SUBMIT A SELF-MONITORING REPORT PER THE REQUIREMENTS OF THEIR UPDES PERMIT AND WAS MORE THAN 45 DAYS LATE IN PROVIDING THE REPORT:

BACKGROUND
In accordance with the United States Environmental Protection Agency General Pretreatment Regulations in 40 CFR 403.8(f)(2)(viii), the Division of Water Quality hereby notifies the public regarding Industrial Dischargers that the Division of Water Quality acts as the Control Authority for systems without an Approved Pretreatment Program. Utah Beef was found to be in significant noncompliance (SNC) with reporting requirements in 40 CFR 403.8(f)(2)(viii)(F).
