Mantua 2025 Popcorn Social: Get to Know Your City Council Nominees Agenda August 9th, 2025 Held at Mantua Town Hall Time: 6:00 P.M - 8:00 PM 6:00 PM - 6:15 PM: Welcome and Introduction (Mayor Terry Nelson) - Opening remarks by the moderator - Brief overview of the event format and purpose - Announcement of the 6 candidates running for office: Mayor Candidates: - Justin Brown - Annette Ash Council Candidates: - Cheryl Burgan - David Ornelas - Ted H. Jeppsen - Scott Ross 6:15 PM - 6:45 PM: Candidate Opening Statements - Each nominee gives a brief opening statement (approximately 5 minutes each) - Candidates introduce themselves and share their vision for the community 6:45 PM - 7:00 PM: Candidate Q&A Session - Moderated Q&A session with prepared questions - Each nominee answers questions (approximately 1-2 minutes per question) 7:00 PM - 7:15 PM: Closing Statements - Each candidate gives a brief closing statement (approximately 2-3 minutes each) - Candidates summarize their key points and thank the audience 7:15 PM - 8:00 PM: Socializing and Networking - Candidates mingle with attendees and answer additional questions - Opportunity for residents to engage informally with the nominees over popcorn - Collection of feedback from attendees on the event (if applicable) 8:00 PM: Event Conclusion - Thank you and closing remarks by the moderator. - Encourage attendees to stay connected and participate in future town events Questions for Town Council Nominees 1.
