Description/Agenda

The 2025 Primary Election is being conducted mainly by mail, for which eligible registered voters in Salt Lake County will be mailed a ballot. Election Day Vote Centers will be available on Election Day, Tuesday, August 12th, 2025, for those who did not receive a ballot, misplaced their ballot, need the ADA amenities of an electronic voting machine, or prefer to vote in person. Identification is required to vote in person, and a list of ID options is available on the County Clerk website. NOTE: SAME-DAY Voter Registration is available at Election Day Vote Centers, for which both valid identification and proof of residency are required. BALLOTS RETURNED BY MAIL Ballots returned by mail must be IN THE POSSESSION of the Clerk's Office by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day to be counted. We encourage voters to mail their ballot early to ensure it is delivered timely. BALLOT DROP BOXES Drive-up ballot drop boxes are available throughout the County that are open 24/7 where voters may return their ballot until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. A list of drop-box locations is included in the ballot packet instructions and is also available on our website. Voters may deposit their voted ballot at any one of the following Election Day Vote Centers during polling hours (7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.). It also includes an audit of a sampling of paper vote-by-mail ballots. This audit is open to public observation and will be conducted at the Salt Lake County Government Center, 2001 South State Street, South Building, First Floor, Room S1-200, Salt Lake City, Utah.
