NOTICE OF HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ON Tuesday, August 19, 2025, a public hearing will be held at 6:00 p.m. by the Salt Lake City Council to accept public comment and consider approving an ordinance that would amend various sections of the Salt Lake City Code to update the general administrative hearing process for civil violations. The process would replace the current Small Claims Court process for formal appeals and create a consistent practice for appeal processing. The proposal also includes adding a fee for formal administrative appeals. The process will apply to the proposed ordinance for parties, gatherings, and events heard on July 8, 2025
All persons interested and present will be given an opportunity to be heard in this matter. This meeting will be held via electronic means, while also providing an in-person opportunity to attend or participate in the hearing at the City Hall, located at 451 South State Street, Room 315, Salt Lake City, Utah.
