NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE
The WELLINGTON CITY is proposing to increase its property tax
revenue.
The WELLINGTON CITY tax on a $256,000 residence would
increase from $216.41 to $704.00, which is $487.59 per year.
The WELLINGTON CITY tax on a $256,000 business would increase
from $393.47 to $1,280.00, which is $886.53 per year.
If the proposed budget is approved, WELLINGTON CITY would
receive an additional $376,735 in property tax revenue per year as a
result of the tax increase. If the proposed budget is approved,
WELLINGTON CITY would increase its property tax budgeted revenue
by 224.91% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding
eligible new growth.
The WELLINGTON CITY invites all concerned citizens to a public
hearing for the purpose of hearing comments regarding the proposed
tax increase and to explain the reasons for the proposed tax increase.
You have the option to attend or participate in the public hearing in
person or online.
