Subject: Notice of Updated Annexation Policy - Garland City
Dear Affected Entity,
Garland City is in the process of adopting an updated Annexation Policy. As an entity potentially affected by this policy, you are hereby notified of the upcoming steps in the review and adoption process and invited to participate. A copy of the proposed Annexation Policy and Future Annexation Map is attached for your reference.
The Garland City Planning Commission will consider the proposed policy at their regularly scheduled meeting on:
Date: August 12, 2025
Time: 7 pm
Location: Garland City Offices, 72 North Main Street, Garland, UT 84312
Following this meeting, a 10-day public comment period will be open to receive feedback on the proposed policy. The comment period will run through August 22, 2025. All comments must be submitted in writing by this date.
Additionally, public hearings on the updated Annexation Policy are scheduled as follows:
- Planning Commission Public Hearing: September 2, 2025
- City Council Public Hearing: October 1, 2025
