SECTION 00100 INVITATION TO BID JORDAN BASIN IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT 1253 West Jordan Basin Lane Bluffdale, UT 84065 Sealed Bids for construction of the BALLARD MEDICAL SSO, will be received by the JORDAN BASIN IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (the 'District') electronically uploaded via Bonfire until 2:00 PM local time on August 11th 2025, at which time at said office the Bids will be publicly opened and, except for obviously non-responsive Bids, publicly read aloud. All interested parties are invited to attend. The Work includes but is not limited to the installation of approximately 279 LF of 12' PVC sanitary sewer pipe, 100 LF of 24' Steel casing and carrier pipe installed via tunneling/boring under the Jordan and Salt Lake Canal, excavation of launching and retrieval shafts, installation of 3 new 60- inch sanitary sewer manholes, connection to the existing sewer system, connection and extension of existing sewer laterals, removal of 2 existing sanitary sewer manholes, abandonment of 3 existing sanitary sewer manholes, removal and replacement of existing storm drain infrastructure, removal and replacement of asphalt pavement, sidewalk, curb and gutter, and landscaping and sanitary sewer bypass pumping during the construction process. The Contract Documents are described in Article 9 of the Agreement (Section 00500 of the Project Manual). The Bidding Documents are comprised of each of the proposed Contract Documents and include the following Bidding Requirements: the List of Prequalified Contractors, if any; this Invitation to Bid (Section 00100 of the Project Manual); Instructions to Bidders (Section 00200 of the Project Manual); Information Required of Bidder (form, Section 00260 of the Project Manual); Bid (form, Section 00300 of the Project Manual); Bid Schedule (form, Section 00310 of the Project Manual); Bid Bond (form, Section 00320 of the Project Manual), and all Addenda issued prior to the receipt of Bids. The Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the Engineer: J-U-B ENGINEERS INC. 392 E Winchester Street Murray, UT 84107 An electronic copy of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Owner for No Charge. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on the 2nd floor of the District office located at 1253 West Jordan Basin Lane, Bluffdale, Utah on July 29th, 2025 at 9:00 AM. Bids must also be accompanied by a completed Information Required of Bidder and any other documents and information which may be required by the Instructions to Bidders to be submitted with the Bid. Bids shall be in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders and all other Bidding Documents. Bids shall be guaranteed by the Bidder for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of Bid opening. During this sixty (60) day period of time from the date of Bid opening, Bids may not be modified, withdrawn or cancelled by the Bidder (except for the very limited situations stated in the Instructions to Bidder). The District hereby reserves the right to cancel this Invitation to Bid at any time prior to Bid opening, to reject any or all Bids, to waive any irregularity or informality in a Bid not involving price, time or changes in the Work or the bidding procedures, and to make award or to refuse to make award in the best interest of the District. The District hereby reserves the right to hold awarding (executing the Agreement) the Project following Bid opening, which is contingent upon acquiring additional easements through private property.
