JOSEPH TOWN PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING May 27, 2025 PRESENT: Commission members: Sue Gestring, Vic Middleton, Brent Parker, Ed Payette, and Peggy Smith. GUESTS: Robin Lewis The meeting was held at the Joseph Community Center and called to order by Ed Payette at 7:00 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion: Motion by Vic to accept the minutes of the meeting of April 29, 2025. Motion seconded by Ed. Passing vote - all. Against vote - none. AGENDA ITEMS: Robin Lewis - application for metal building at 255 East Main. Motion by Sue to accept application. Motion seconded by Brent. Passing vote - all. Against vote - none. DISCUSSION ITEMS: FOLLOW-UP ITEMS: - Sue - update on web page. No update. Waiting return call from Mayor Campbell. - Forms for application for building permits. Peggy will provide Nikole with updated forms to give to applicants. - Vic is going to take paperwork to Jason at the County to verify what everyone should be submitting. - Zoning ordinance: questioning setback of three (3) feet or 12 feet. Vic will get a copy of Monroe City's zoning ordinance and the PC can begin working on it. - Tiny homes and auxiliary homes. Does Monroe have an ordinance we could look over. - Status of annexation ordinance - Peggy will contact Haley for update. - Public comments on agenda. Does this pertain only to agenda items or may any topic be allowed? Peggy will check with Tyler for answer. TOWN COUNCIL REPORT - Doug Nowell: Not Present.
