ORANGEVILLE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING Thursday, June 5, 2025 7:00 PM Present: Carolyn Carrasco, Leland Sasser, Chad Larsen, Travis Richards, Bill Dellos, Seth Manning, Janice Winn Open Meeting 7:00 pm Pledge of Allegiance Motion to approve the minutes from May 6, 2025 as read was made by Bill Dellos and seconded by Chad Larsen. Aye: Carolyn Carrasco, Leland Sasser, Chad Larsen, Travis Richards, Bill Dellos Nay: none CITIZEN CONCERNS: Brandon Hoffman has applied for a business License for Hoffman and Sons, LLC. This includes outfitting for hunting and fishing. Bill Dellos made a motion that this business license be granted with Travis Richards making a second. Aye: Carolyn Carrasco, Leland Sasser, Chad Larsen, Travis Richards, Bill Dellos Nay: none SHORT-TERM RENTAL ORDINANCE The original ordinance was not finished with the state. The copy of the original ordinance needs to be given to every member of this committee to review. Travis says that he thinks he knows where the box from Carole Larsen was put. He and Seth will check it out tomorrow. Hopefully the final copy will be in those materials. Also Seth will look up to see if there was any legislation this year that will affect this ordinance. We will review this again in July meeting. ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT ORDINANCE A motion to postpone a vote on this until next month. Seth will print out the information from the State Legislature this year for each member. A motion was made to postpone any votes on this until July by Bill Dellos with a second by Travis Richards. Aye: Carolyn Carrasco, Leland Sasser, Chad Larsen, Travis Richards, Bill Dellos Nay: none ANNEXATION There are still questions that the committee has on this decision. Seth will contact Todd Thorne, Carbon County Planning and Zoning, and ask some follow-up questions. Motion was made to revisit this annexation at July meeting by Bill Dellos and Travis Richards seconded. Aye: Carolyn Carrasco, Leland Sasser, Chad Larsen, Travis Richards, Bill Dellos Nay: none ZONING ADMINISTRATOR REPORT: Seth issued a clearance to Courtney Cox to build a lean-to onto his home to park his lawn mowers, etc. Brittany Richards was issued her business license. Clearance for window replacement was issued to Brian Clark on 300 North. The House on 500 north has been put in. Brandon Hoffman has his building permit for putting a modular home on his corner lot. CITY COUNCIL REPORT: None After discussing the date of the July meeting, it was decided because of the holiday to change the date from Thursday, July 3rd until Tuesday, July 8th.
