Proposed Amendment to the Payson City Code
Amendments to Title 12 Subdivision and Development Guidelines
Notice is hereby given that the Payson City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on
Wednesday, July 23, 2025, to consider a proposed amendments to the Payson City Code and
Development Guidelines. Summary of request below;
- Clarifying the bonding process and the timing of when a plat is recorded with a
traditional bond. Amendments allow a developer to change from an At-Risk bond to a
traditional bond at any time.
- Development Guidelines are being amended to clarify a sewer clean-out in park strips.
Additionally there is a need for sewer manholes to be lined up over troughs and to
remove the ladders that are installed in manholes to address safety concerns. Providing a
additional information on the process for traditional bonding and at-risk work.
The public hearing will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at Payson City Center,
located at 439 West Utah Avenue, Payson, Utah. All interested persons are invited to attend and
provide input prior to the Planning Commission making a recommendation to the City Council.
