SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL SYNOPSIS OF SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE 44 of 2025 The Salt Lake City Council, at its July 1, 2025, meeting adopted an ordinance that indefinitely closes a portion of City-owned alley located at approximately 9 North Chicago Street (Madsen Park) running north/south mid-block between 1000 West and Chicago Street. The alley closure is needed to consolidate all parcels that make up Madsen Park into one parcel to facilitate park improvements that are being funded by the Parks, Trails, & Open Space General Obligation Bond (GO Bond). This portion of the alley doesn't provide access to nearby residents to their properties or to the park. Located within Council District 2.
