NOTICE OF ANNEXATION PETITION AND PUBLIC CERTIFICATION On May 6, 2025, a petition proposing the annexation of 80.92 acres of real property located in the vicinity of 4500 West and 800 North, was filed by Jim Scott Francisco and subsequently signed by Sage Pauline Platt, Laurel L. Hulet, Marcus Lunt, and Chris Hunt. ANNEXATION BOUNDARY: THE NORTH HALF OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER {Nl/2NE1/4NE1/4) OF SECTlON 12, TOWNSHIP 36 SOUTH, RANGE 12 WESTt SALT LAKE BASE & MERIDIAN, THE SOUTH I-IALF OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER {S1/2NE1/4NE1/4) OF SECTION 12, TOWNSHIP 36 SOUTH, RANGE 12 WEST, SALT LAKE BASE & MERIDIAN, THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER (NW1/4NE1/4) OF SECTION 12, TOWNSHIP 36 SOUTH, RANGE 12 WEST, SALT LAKE BASE & MERIDIAN.:. MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SECTION 12, TOWNSHIP 36 SOUTH, RANGE 12 WEST, SLB&M, THENCE S.0'11 1S81'E. ALONG THE SECTION LINE 1330.64 FEET TO THE SE CORNER OF THE NE1/4NE1/4 OF SAID SECTION 12, THENCE S.88'401' 111W. ALONG THE 1/16 SECTION LINE 2651.86 FEET TO THE SW CORNER OF THE NW1/4NE1/4 OF SAID SECTION 12, THENCE N.0'12'09 11W. ALONG THE NORTH-SOUTH QUARTER SECTION LINE 1328.41 FEET TO THE NORTH QUARTER CORNER OF SAID SECTION 12, THENCE N.88°37'18'1E. ALONG THE SECTION LINE 2651.98 FEET TO THE POlNT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINS 80.92 ACRES OF LAND. 1. On June 11, 2025, the Cedar City Council accepted the Petition to be further considered and authorized the Petition to be certified by City Staff. 2. On June 30, 2025, City Staff certified that the Petition meets the requirements of Utah State Law and notice was provided to. the Cedar City Council, the contact sponsor, and the Iron County Commission. 3. The complete Annexation Petition is available for inspection and copying at the Cedar City Recorder's Office, 10 North Main Street, Cedar City, Utah, Monday through Friday, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. 4. Cedar City may grant the Petition and annex the above-described area unless a written lawful protest to the Annexation Petition is filed with the Iron County Clerk, PO Box 429, Parowan Utah, 84761 c/o Jon Whittaker, or delivered to the Iron County Clerk's Office located at 68 South 100 East, Parowan, Utah, 84761. A copy of the protest must also be delivered or mailed to the Cedar City Recorder at 10 North Main Street, 84720 on the same date that the protest is filed with the Iron County Clerk. Any protest must be filed as herein stated by no later than July 30, 2025, by 5:00 p.m.
