SCHEDULED ITEMS:
1. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INCENTIVE AGREEMENT WITH CRUSH GOLF AND GRILL
BACKGROUND: The applicant is offering a golf and entertainment venue in the Legend Hills area on a portion of approximately 16 acres of land he is purchasing to develop as a mix of complementary commercial and retail uses. The first phase of the project is the golf venue, which will use about 9.5 acres of the site. The remaining land is planned for office, retail, or similar commercial development. Planning staff has run the analysis pertinent to the incentive payment exception in UCA §11-41-103(2) and has found that the area meets this requirement. The requested incentive is strictly financial - no reductions in regulations or design requirements have been proposed or approved. The agreement focuses on allowable cost adjustments to help the project move forward.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Economic Development Incentive Agreement with Crush Golf and Grill and authorize the Chairman's signature to any necessary documents.
