The Hurricane City Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing during their regular meeting at the Hurricane City Office 147 N 870 West on July 10, 2025 commencing at 6:00 p.m. to take comments on the following:
1. A Zone Change Amendment for 20 acres located near 110 North 1150 West, 974 West 100 North, and 147 N 870 W, the future site of the Hurricane Civic Center.
The proposed amendment would change the zoning on the property as follows:
3 acres from R1-10 (Single Family Residential, one unit per 10,000 sq. ft.) to R1-4 (Single Family Residential, one unit per 4,000 sq. ft.)
8 acres from R1-10 (Single Family Residential, one unit per 10,000 sq. ft.) to Public Facility
5 acres from R1-10 (Single Family Residential, one unit per 10,000 sq. ft.) to General Commercial
4 acres will remain R1-10 (Single Family Residential, one unit per 10,000 sq. ft.)
