Highland City 5400 West Civic Center Drive ~ Suite 1 Highland, UT 84003 Phone 756-5751 | Fax 756-6903 NOTICE OF HIGHLAND PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING AMENDMENTS TO PO PROFESSIONAL OFFICE ZONE You are receiving this notice because you are the owner of property within or adjacent to the Highland City Professional Office (PO) zone. The Highland Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on July 22, 2025, at 7:00 PM or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Highland City Council Chambers, 5400 West Civic Center Dr., Highland, UT, to consider and receive comments regarding potential amendments to the PO zone regulations. The amendments and related information are online: https://www.highlandut.gov/229/Current-Projects The proposed amendments are intended to accomplish the following: - Remove the original master site plan, landscaping plan, and building design exhibits from the PO zone and remove site-specific language from the zoning regulations, as they only encompass portions of the zone. - Update architectural and building design requirements and standards to allow for greater flexibility in design while retaining residential design flavor. These updated requirements would retain the one-story (plus basement) restriction under the original master plan for sites along the east side of Highland Blvd. - Update site design standards to address areas of regulation that were not previously addressed (e.g., regulations related to parking and loading areas) and clarify regulations and requirements for landscaping, access, parking, and other site design considerations. - These amendments would not affect or require modifications to any approved or existing building or site plan. They would apply to any new or modified building or site plan. These changes do not affect currently allowable uses within the zone, though they clarify prohibited uses. Comments regarding the proposed amendments may be submitted to planningcommission@highlandut.gov. Please provide comments by July 14, 2025, to be considered at the Commission meeting.
