2025 Road Maintenance Project
SECTION 1.1 - ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
INVITATION TO BID
Sealed Bids for the construction of the 2025 Road Maintenance Project will be received by West Haven City at the City office, 4150 South 3900 West, West Haven, UT 84401, until 10:00 AM local time on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Bid documents will be available on or after June 25.
The Bids received will be opened and read at 10:00 AM on the same day, July 9, 2025. The Bid award will take place on the next West Haven City Council Meeting following the bid opening.
The project consists of the following road maintenance items; Chip Seal outlined on the plans. The project will be bid as follows:
Schedule A: Placement of chip seal on various roads in West Haven City. (See Section 5 drawings) contractor will provide aggregate to be used for chip seal.
Contractor to work with city to complete project on schedule that does not interrupt business traffic and school access.
The project shall be governed by the contract documents and all provisions of the Manual of Standard Specifications and Manual of Standard Plans 2017 Edition published by the Utah Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA).
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The contract will be awarded, if it is to be awarded based on this solicitation, to the responsive, responsible bidder (please refer specifically to Article 3 in Section 1.2). The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Bidding Documents including Drawings and Technical Specifications in PDF form may be obtained from Ethan Gibson, ethan@gecivil.com, at Gardner Engineering. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, by making a request for such with the contact person listed above 24 hours in advance of the desired pick-up time, to be during normal business hours, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $100 for each set. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
