Shantelle went on to explain that the reserves are still high and as far as the expenses go, there is nothing out of line as to what was anticipated at this time. The same goes for the operating expenses as well. Shantelle explained that there are a few small items that still need to be purchased to help the CEC get to the end of the fiscal year. Mayor Hart had a question regarding the money left in the reserves and the severance pay that both Shawn and Melissa will be getting. Shantelle explained that the severance pay will be a lump sum payment on June 30th. Troy Belliston asked if there will be any money left in the reserves after the severances are paid out. Shantelle said that there should be around $100,000.00 left in the cash reserves that will be distributed back to the communities. City Updates on Dissolution Amendment- Shantelle spoke on behalf of Brian Graff regarding the dissolution amendment that had been sent to the city and county attorneys. The amendment had passed in Ivins, Washington, and St George City at the time of this meeting. Questions Regarding Dissolution - A question was brought up about athletics and how it was going to get covered after June 30th. Stephen Lee stated that he will need to meet with the Executive Director of Athletics, Ken Beazer, to discuss this issue. There was also discussion regarding the coverage of the city council meetings for St. George City. This too will need to be discussed at a later date. Planning Future Meetings - Since there will be no proposed budget meeting to discuss in March, Shantelle will send out a proposed budget amendment for everyone to review in the next meeting which will take place on May 20th.
