- Notice and Agenda Notice is hereby given that the Garland City Council will hold a regular City Council meeting on the 24th day of January 2012 at the Garland City Civic Center. Such meeting shall begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. The Mayor reserves the right to modify the sequence of agenda items in order to facilitate special needs. The agenda shall be as follows: 1. Call to order – Mayor Bennett 2. Invocation 3. Pledge of Allegiance 4. Vote to approve agenda 5. Approval of Minutes: a. December 22, 2011 6. Requests for Future Agenda Items (Open Comments) 7. New Business 8. Introduction of Ordinance, Resolutions, Standards and Proclamations a. Ordinance, O-12-01, Garland House Numbering b. Adult Oriented Businesses c. Resolution, R-12-01, Establishing an Emergency Chain of Authority 9. Report of Officers, Boards & Committees a. Mayor Bennett b. Council Member Shaw – Parks-Recreation/Mosquito Abatement/ Facilities c. Council Member Miller – Planning & Zoning/ Streets i. Planning and Zoning Commission – Jeff Jensen d. Council Member Thompson – Youth Council/ Library/Wheat & Beet Days i. Youth Council Mayor/Advisor e. Council Member Hughes –Public Safety/Wheat & Beet Days i. Fire Chief Kent Menlove ii. Police Chief Linda Bourne f. Council Member Coleman – Water & Sewer 10. Approval of payroll, accounts payable and billing adjustments 11.
