GUIDELINES FOR PUBLIC MEETINGS/HEARINGS:
For those listening:
* Respect all viewpoints by refraining from applause or other interruptions or outbursts intended to show support or opposition to what someone else has stated.
* Acknowledge that an opinion different from your own can still be motivated by a good-faith belief in what is best for our community, even if you don't agree with that opinion.
For those speaking in a public hearing:
* Begin your comments by stating your name and address for the record.
* Avoid duplication by focusing on new information rather than simply restating what someone else has stated.
* Keep comments brief so that all who wish to speak have an opportunity to do so.
* Remember that a public hearing is not a question/answer session. You may present questions, but whether those questions are answered will be left to the discretion of the Chair during the discussion period once the public hearing has ended.
