Public Notice of City Council Vacancy
In accordance with Utah State Code Ann. § 20A-1-510, notice is hereby given that the Tremonton City Council has a Council seat vacancy as of June 18, 2024. Letters of intent from interested individuals will be accepted until July 11, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Applicants must be registered voters residing within the municipality and must meet the qualifications for office as described in Utah Code § 10-3-301. The selected candidate will serve the remainder of the term, ending January 5, 2026.
To apply, please submit the following documents:
- Letter of intent
- Completed questionnaire
- Conflict of interest disclosure form
- Campaign financial disclosure form

All required forms are available on the city's website under Government > Elections.
Candidate interviews will be conducted by the City Council during an open public meeting on July 15, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, located at 102 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah. The City Council will vote to appoint a candidate during its regularly scheduled meeting at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. The selected candidate will be sworn in and begin serving immediately.
