Housed in the Department of Economic Development, the Business Advisory Board seeks to encourage economic development and target industry relocation within City boundaries. The board also helps direct City economic policy, promote small business growth, support local entrepreneurship, and assist the City in remaining responsive to the business community.
Business Advisory Board meetings are held in a hybrid meeting format. Board Members and staff may participate through an online format, and members of the public may join in person at the City & County Building: 451 South State Street, Room 335, Salt Lake City, UT 84111.

Peter Nelson, Sustainability Program Manager, will give an overview of the e2 Business
Program to the Board.
b. Suazo Business Center 20 minutes
Silvia Castro, Chief Executive Officer of the Suazo Business Center, will provide an overview of
Partner organization Suazo Business Center.
c. Blake Thomas, Senior Advisor of Real Estate and Capital Projects 20 minutes
Blake Thomas, Senior Advisor of Real Estate and Capital Projects, will introduce himself
to the Board and give an overview of his position with the City.
5. City Council Announcements - Austin Kimmel 10 minutes
a. Fiscal Year 2025-26 City Budget. Wrap up of the City's budget season, and what's coming in the FY26 Fiscal Year.
b. Hruska's Kolaches EDLF loan approved.
