The Utah Board of Oil, Gas and Mining meets Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 9 a.m. at the Department of Natural Resources building at 1594 West North Temple in Salt Lake City. Opportunity for Public Comment The Board will hear the following Matters as soon as the Briefing Session concludes: 1. Docket No. 2024-013 Cause No. 132-32 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of OVINTIV USA INC. for an order pooling interests, including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting owners in the Beal UT 13-34 4-3-4-9-1H Well in the drilling unit established for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch Formations comprised of all of Sections 4 and 9, Township 4 South, Range 3 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. 2. Per Acre Bonding Costs for Small Mines and Exploration - The Division will present information about average costs per acre for reclamation, followed by an opportunity for public comment. The Board will be asked to approve a figure that will be used for bonding small mines and exploration operations. 3. Docket No. 2024-008 Cause No. 132-27 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of XCL RESOURCES, LLC on behalf of XCL ASSETCO, LLC for an order pooling all interests including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting and unknown owners, within a 1,280-acre (or substantial equivalent) drilling unit established for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch (Colton) Formations, comprised of Sections 31 and 32, Township 2 South, Range 3 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. (The Board will consider the recommended findings of fact and conclusions of law generated by the hearing examiner from the proceeding on February 21, 2024). 4. Docket No. 2024-009 Cause No. 132-28 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of XCL RESOURCES, LLC on behalf of XCL ASSETCO, LLC for an order pooling all interests including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting and unknown owners, within a 1,280-acre (or substantial equivalent) drilling unit established for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch (Colton) Formations, comprised of Sections 29 and 30, Township 2 South, Range 3 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. (The Board will consider the recommended findings of fact and conclusions of law generated by the hearing examiner from the proceeding on February 21, 2024). 5. Docket No. 2024-010 Cause No. 132-29 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of XCL RESOURCES, LLC on behalf of XCL ASSETCO, LLC for an order pooling all interests including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting and unknown owners, within a 2,560-acre (or substantial equivalent) drilling unit established for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch (Colton) Formations, comprised of Sections 29-32, Township 2 South, Range 3 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. (The Board will consider the recommended findings of fact and conclusions of law generated by the hearing examiner from the proceeding on February 21, 2024). 6. Docket No. 2024-011 Cause No. 132-30 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of OVINTIV USA INC. for an order partially vacating the order entered in Cause No. 139-104 and instead pooling interests, including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting owners in the Yergensen 13-7 3-1-7-6-5H, 13-7 3-1-7-6-16H and 13-7 3-1-7-6-46H Wells, in the drilling unit established for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch Formations comprised of all of Sections 6 and 7, Township 3 South, Range 1 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. (The Board will consider the recommended findings of fact and conclusions of law generated by the hearing examiner from the proceeding on February 21, 2024). 7. Docket No. 2024-012 Cause No. 132-31 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of OVINTIV USA INC. for an order pooling interests, including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting owners in the Ute Tribal 13-30 3-3-31-32-7H Well in the drilling unit established for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch Formations comprised of all of Sections 31 and 32, Township 3 South, Range 3 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. (The Board will consider the recommended findings of fact and conclusions of law generated by the hearing examiner from the proceeding on February 21, 2024). 8. Docket No. 2024-006 Cause No. 130-29 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of XCL RESOURCES, LLC, on behalf of XCL ASSETCO LLC, for an order amending the Board's orders in Cause No. 139-138 and 600-04 to reduce heel/toe setbacks from 330' to 100' for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch (Colton) Formations in Sections 28-33, Township 2 South, Range 1 West, U.S.M. in Duchesne County, Utah. 9. Docket No. 2023-027 Cause No. 132-19 - In the matter of the Request for Agency Action of OVINTIV USA INC. for an order pooling interests, including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting owners in the Moon 1-12 4-3-7-8-7H Well, in the drilling unit established for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch Formations comprised of all of Sections 7 and 8, Township 4 South, Range 3 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. (Pursuant to Board Order, the Board will hear oral argument on the Matter of the Petition for Rehearing for reconsideration of the Board's Findings of Fact, Conclusion of Law and Order entered on November 9, 2023).
