- The State of Utah DHHS and Local Public Health Governance Committee Meeting Approve Minutes: December 18th, 2023 Time Grant Title Executive Committee Review In Attendance Description Integrated Viral Hepatitis Surveillance and Prevention Epi/Informatics Exec approved a recommendation for governance to approve the application as proposed with the understanding that carryforward funds will be used to maintain current contractual amounts for LHDs for the project year. Amelia Salmanson Grant Period: 5/1/24 to 4/30/25 Application Due: 1/10/2024 Grant Status: Needs Review Grant Type: Renewal (Year 4) Funding Year 1: $455,437 Funding Year 2: $455,437 Funding Year 3: $455,437 Application Year 4: $455,437 Rules Review/Discussion: Rule # Rule Name Topic Other Agenda Items: Other Agenda Topic Requested By Notes Approval of State MRC Coordinator MOU Dean Penovich The ERC affiliate and EMSP came to a consensus that the state coordinator role would be most effectively managed by EMSP with the objective that the state coordinator (1) would support and represent local MRC unit interests in areas that require cross-collaboration and (2) would not interfere with a local health department's authority to manage their units.
