The Utah Board of Oil, Gas and Mining meets Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 9 a.m. at the Department of Natural Resources building at 1594 West North Temple in Salt Lake City. Legislative Actions 2. Rulemaking Items 3. Other 4. Next Month's Agenda and Division Calendar 5. Opportunity for Public Comment Board members will hear the following Matters at 10 a.m.: 1. Docket No. 2023-045 Cause No. 139-173 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of Jody Wilcken Heugly, R. E. Wilcken, Karl Wilcken, Cristine Wilcken Labrum, and Karen Wilcken Farnsworth, ('Petitioners') for an order requiring an accounting and payment of royalties from Homeland Gas and Oil LTD for the Nielson 1-20B1, Section 20, Township 2 South, Range 1 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. (On Sept. 27, 2023, this matter was set for investigation and negotiation to be completed by the Division within 60 days. The Division's memorandum detailing its findings and recommendation for formal hearing is due to be filed on Nov. 27, 2023. The Board will hear the Division's findings and recommendation for formal hearing at the Dec. 6, 2023, Board hearing, and if recommended, proceed with the formal hearing). 2. Docket No. 2023-046 Cause No. 132-26 - In the Matter of: Request for Agency Action of OVINTIV USA INC. for an order pooling interests, including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting owners in the 10 Tomlin wells identified herein, in the drilling unit established for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch Formations comprised of all of Sections 25 and 36, Township 2 South, Range 2 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. 3. Docket No. 2023-047 Cause No. 130-25 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of UINTA WAX OPERATING, LLC for an order modifying the Board's order entered in Cause No. 139-154 insofar as it pertains to the stand-up drilling unit established thereunder for long lateral horizontal wells comprised of Sections 17 and 20, Township 2 South, Range 1 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah to: (1) Reduce the north/south (heel/toe) drilling unit boundary setback from 330 feet to 100 feet; (2) Increase the number of wells authorized thereunder from 12 to 36; and (3) Reduce the inter-well setback between such wells from 330 feet to 100 feet. 4. Docket No. 2023-048 Cause No. 600-05 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of OVINTIV USA INC. for an order: (1) Modifying and/or extending the board's orders entered in Cause Nos. 139-134, 139-150, 600-02, 600-03 and 130-14 to: (a) Establish drilling units by extension and/or modification of such orders to previously unspaced lands; and (b) Reducing the north/south drilling unit boundary setbacks from 330 feet to 100 feet with certain exceptions; and (2) Establishing special drilling units for drilling unit boundary wells, all for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch Formations, all within portions of Townships 3 and 4 South, Ranges 1 East and 1 and 2 West, U.S.M., Duchesne and Uintah Counties, Utah. 5. Docket No. 2023-049 Cause No. 076-04 - In the matter of the Notice of Agency Action requesting the Board issue an order forfeiting the bond covering wells identified as 27-2 API Number 43-007-30939, 27-4 API Number 43-007-03940, and SWDI 1 API Number 43-007-30979 and directing the Division to orphan, plug, and reclaim the well sites.
