NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
In accordance with Utah Code Ann. §53G-4-402(23), the Board of Education for Salt Lake City School District is providing notice that it will be holding a public hearing on the proposed school closure of potentially Emerson Elementary, Hawthorne Elementary, M. Lynn Bennion Elementary, Mary W. Jackson Elementary, Newman Elementary, Riley Elementary, and/or Wasatch Elementary. The public hearing is also to hear public input on the potential boundary adjustments of all open elementary schools within the Salt Lake City School District.
The public hearing will start at 6:30 p.m. on December 5, 2023, in the West High School Auditorium, located at 241 North 300 West, Salt Lake City, Utah.
The public hearing will be part of a larger public board meeting, and the entire board agenda will be posted and available no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 4, 2023.
Notice of Special Accommodations (ADA)
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodations (including auxiliary communicative aids and services) during this meeting should notify the ADA coordinator at 465 South 400 East, at least three working days prior to the meeting.
