NOTICE OF WATER AND SEWER SERVICE FEE INCREASE
AND 2024 BUDGET
JOINT PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Kearns Improvement District (the 'District') intends to increase the fees for water service and for sanitary sewer service provided by the District, and may impose new fees, and will hold a Public Hearing on November 14, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Board room at the District office, which is located at 5350 West 5400 South, Kearns, UT 84118, which Notice shall be published as a Class A notice under Utah Code § 63G-30-102, or be mailed as provided in Utah Code § 17B-1-643(2)(d), which date shall be not less than seven days after the day the first Notice is published, for the purpose of hearing comments regarding the proposed imposition or increase of water service and sanitary sewer service fees and to explain the reasons for the proposed imposition or increases.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the District will hold a Public Hearing on the tentatively adopted 2024 Tentative Budget in conjunction with the fee increase public hearing to give interested persons in attendance an opportunity to be heard on the estimates of revenues and expenditures or any item in the 2024 Tentative Budget.
A Joint Public Hearing to consider the proposed increases in service fees and new fees and the District's 2024 Budget will be held on November 14, 2023 commencing at 6:00 p.m. at the District office located at 5350 West 5400 South, Kearns, Utah.
The 2024 Tentative Budget and the proposed fee increases, and any new fees will be available for public inspection at the front counter of the District office during normal business hours at least seven days before the Joint Public Hearing.
All persons interested and present at the Joint Public Hearing noticed above will be given an opportunity to be heard. To obtain more information regarding the subjects of the Joint Public Hearing, please contact Riley Astill at (801) 968-1011.
