NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE LANDMARKS COMMISSION
The Provo City Landmarks Commission will hold a public hearing Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at the Provo City Library, located at 550 North University Avenue. The items listed below will be discussed, and anyone interested is invited to attend and provide comment.
ITEM 1* The Provo City Housing Authority, requests that the historic designation for the George Taylor Jr. home, generally located at 187 North 400 West, which is in the Downtown 1 zone, be changed from contributory to non-contributory. Timp Neighborhood 11-0001LMN
Items noted on the agenda with a star (*) require legislative action by the Municipal Council following a public hearing. Unmarked items are administrative actions requiring the approval of only the Landmarks Commission. Decisions on items involving either landmark designation or the refusal to issue a Certificate of Historic Appropriateness may be appealed to the Municipal Council within thirty (30) days of the decision of the Commission per Section 16.03 of the Provo City Code.
Copies of the agenda materials, public hearing procedure, and staff recommendations are available the week of the hearing at reasonable cost in the Community Development office, located at 330 West 100 South, Provo, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
