- PUBLIC NOTICE TO FILL CITY COUNCIL VACANCY Notice is hereby given by the City of Clearfield that Council Member Keri Benson has offered her resignation of a City Council seat effective November 30, 2016. The resignation will create a vacancy on the City Council. The Clearfield City legislative body will meet to interview, in an open and public meeting, potential candidates to fill the vacancy on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Clearfield Municipal and Justice Center, City Council Chambers, 55 South State Street, Third Floor, Clearfield, Utah. The legislative body intends to appoint a replacement that same evening in a Special City Council Session. Any person interested in being appointed to fill the vacancy shall submit his/her name, a resume and a short statement of interest no later than Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. in the Office of the City Recorder. Applicants must be 1) a citizen of the United States, 2) registered to vote in the City of Clearfield, and 3) have resided in the City of Clearfield for 12 consecutive months before the date of the appointment.
