RIVERTON CITY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that on April 5, 2016, the Riverton City Council adopted Resolution No. 16-14 indicating their intent to adjust a boundary that Riverton City has in common with Herriman City. A description of the area proposed to be adjusted is as follows: A Beginning at the Southwest corner of Section 30, Township 3 South, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Meridian; thence North 00°23'48' East 33.00 feet along section line; thence South 88°57'58' East 1935.04 feet parallel with and 33.00 North of section line to the subdivision boundary of the Village At Canyonview Park Phase 1, recorded on June 2, 2004, in Book 2004p Page 142 of official records; thence North 37°05'19' West 330.36 feet along said subdivision boundary; thence North 00°18'19' East 82.34 feet along said subdivision boundary to the corner of Lot 109 of said subdivision; thence South 37°09'46' East 352.54 feet along the boundaries of lots 103 to 109 inclusive to the corner of lot 103 of said subdivision; thence South 12°19'16' West 100.10 feet to a point on section line; thence North 88°57'58' West 1928.08 feet along section line to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Contains 80901 square feet or 1.857 acres, more or less. ALL WITHIN EXISTING 12600 SOUTH ROAD RIGHT OF WAY AND PARCEL 27-30-378-081 B Beginning at the Northeast corner of Section 36, Township 3 South Range 2 West, Salt Lake Meridian; thence South 00°33'19' West 17.17 feet along section line to a point on the Northerly subdivision boundary of Western Springs Subdivision Phase 1 Final Plat, Recorded on October 30, 2000 in Book 2000p Page 297 of official records; thence North 89°40'12' West 709.38 feet along said subdivision boundary to a curve to the left having a radius of 1945.61 feet, a central angle of 07°19'04' and a chord that bears South 86°40'16' West 248.32 feet; thence along said curve and said subdivision boundary a distance of 248.49 feet; thence North 06°59'16' West 34.18 feet to a point on section line; thence South 89°37'02' East 961.62 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Contains 18237 square feet or 0.419 acres, more or less. ALL WITHIN EXISTING 12600 SOUTH ROAD RIGHT OF WAY C Beginning at the southeast corner of Section 36 Township 3 South, Range 2 West, Salt Lake Meridian; thence North 89°38'34' West 2651.08 feet along section line to the South quarter corner of said Section 36; thence North 89°35'55' West 2618.02 feet; thence North 00°16'31' East 33.00 feet; thence South 89°35'55' East 2618.06 feet; thence South 89°38'34' East 2651.19 feet to a point on section line; thence South 00°32'15' West 33.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Contains 173882 square feet or 3.992 acres, more or less. ALL WITHIN EXISTING 13400 SOUTH ROAD RIGHT OF WAY The Riverton City Council will hold a public hearing on June 7, 2016, at 6:30 p.m., or as soon after as practicable, at Riverton City Hall, located at 12830 South 1700 West, Riverton, Utah. The Riverton City Council will adjust the boundaries unless, at or before the public hearing, written protests to the adjustment are filed by the owners of private real property that is located within the area proposed for adjustment; covers at least 25% of the total private land area within the area proposed for adjustment; and is equal in value to at least 15% of the value of all private real property within the area proposed for adjustment. Private property is not known to exist in the area because it lies solely within a public right of way; however, there may be utilities, residual, or future private property interests affected by the proposed boundary adjustment. The area that is the subject of the boundary adjustment will, because of the boundary adjustment, be automatically annexed to local districts providing fire protection, paramedic, emergency services and a local district providing law enforcement service; however, the area so annexed was previously located within these same districts. All meetings are open to the public unless closed, pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act. The City Office is an accessible facility. Individuals needing special accommodations or assistance during this meeting shall notify the City Recorder's Office at 801-208-3126, at least two business days in advance of the meeting.
