NOTICE OF ELECTION

Notice is hereby given that a PARAT TAX PROPOSITION ELECTION for Clearfield City, Utah will be held as part of the General Election to be conducted by Davis County on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Registered voters will receive their ballot by mail with instructions as to how it may be returned. Clearfield City?s Ballot Proposition is as follows:

OFFICIAL BALLOT PROPOSITION FOR IMPOSING A PARAT TAX IN CLEARFIELD
Shall Clearfield City, Utah, be authorized to impose a 0.1% sales and use tax for funding Parks, Arts, Recreation, Aquatics, and Trails (?PARAT?) facilities, programs and organizations?

Polling locations (a.k.a. vote centers) will be open on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for any Davis County voters who wish to vote in person or to return their ballot in person. If a voter chooses to vote in person appropriate identification (typically a government issued ID with the voters name and photograph) is required. Available polling locations that will be open on Election Day are listed below:

A person desiring to vote at this election must qualify by being a registered voter in the State of Utah according to the following qualifications:
(1) Be a United States citizen.
(2) Be a resident of Clearfield for at least the 30 days immediately before the election.
(3) Be at least 18 years old at the time of the next general municipal election (Nov 4, 2014).
(4) Have your principal place of residence in a specific voting precinct in Clearfield.
(5) Not a convicted felon whose right to vote has not been restored as provided by law.
A public meeting on the PARAT Tax Proposition will be held in the Clearfield City Council Chambers at 55 South State Street, Clearfield, UT, on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at approximately 7:00 p.m.
