NOTICE OF A REGULAR COMMISSION MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WEBER COUNTY, UTAH PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Weber County, Utah will hold a regular commission meeting in the Commission Chambers of the Weber Center, 2380 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah, commencing at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, the 20th day of May 2014. The agenda for the meeting consists of the following: A. Welcome - Commissioner Gibson B. Pledge of Allegiance –Jared Anderson C. Thought of the Day - Commissioner Gibson D. Presentation Request for approval of a presentation of a Proclamation of the Board of County Commissioners of Weber County declaring May as “Mental Health Awareness Month” in Weber County. Presenter: Roger Brunker E. Consent Items 1. Request for approval of Purchase Orders. 2. Request for approval to ratify warrants #309116 - #309321 in the amount of $729,596.57. 3. Request for approval of warrants # 309322- #309524 in the amount of $1,362,094.7 4. Request for approval of the minutes for the meeting held on May 7, 2014. 5. Set the second public hearing date for June 03, 2014 to allow citizens to provide input concerning the projects that were awarded under the 2014 Community Development Block Grant program (CDBG). 6. Request to set the date of June 10, 2014 (at lO:OO am) for a public hearing to consider and take action on a request to amend the Weber County Land Use Code, Title 104 (Zones) Chapter 13 (Forest Residential Zone (FR-1), to allow the nightly rental of a condominium dwelling within a platted condominium project 7. Request from the Sheriff’s Office for approval to surplus a Rock Climbing Wall. 8. 6. Request from the Weber County Tax Advisory Board for approval to deny a request made by Mr. Larry Taylor for a refund on interest and penalty paid Parcel #30-100-4745. Presenter: Machel Maycock F. Request for approval of contracts by and between the following for Recreation, Arts, Museums and Parks Grants: Weber Pathways North Ogden City Ogden School Foundation Presenter: Chris Ward 2. Request for approval of a contract by and between Weber County and Salzburger Echo for entertainment at the 2015 HOF German Fest. Presenter: Jim Harvey 3. Request for approval of a contract by and between Weber County and Golden Spike Gem & Mineral Society for the Gem Stone Junction to be held at the Golden Spike Event Center at the Golden Spike Event Center on the dates of April 8-12, 2015. Presenter: Jim Harvey 4. Request for approval of a contract by and between Weber County and GOAL Foundation to hold the Hurt in the Dirt event at the Fort Buenaventura Park on July 25 & 26, 2014. Presenter: Jim Carter 5. Request for approval of a contract by and between Weber County and CRS Consulting Engineers for the surveying, conceptual design & right of way acquisition service on 1200 South from 4700 West to Little Mountain. Request for approval of a contract by and between Weber County and Summers & Summers, LLC for a one year extension of Lease of property adjacent to the Weber County Upper Valley Road Shops. Request for approval of Interlocal Agreements by and between Weber County and the following cities for a recycling agreement: North Ogden City Farr West City Presenter: Gary Laird 8. A request for final approval of the Silver Summit Estates Subdivision, consisting of 13 lots and the acceptance of a financial guarantee of $243,323.30 for subdivision improvements and a Monumentation escrow of $4200.00. Request for approval for ratification and notice to proceed with a construction contract between Weber County and R & O Construction for completion of the Southwest Branch/Headquarters Library, Including: AIA Document A101, Standard Form of Agreement between Owner and Contractor; AIA Document A201, General Conditions of the Contract for Construction: and Notice to Proceed, Dated May 20, 2014. Presenter: Lynnda Wangsgard G. Public Hearing 1. Request for a motion to adjourn public meeting and convene public hearing 2. Public hearing to amend the Weber County Land Use Code Title 104 (Zones Chapter 9 (Forest Zones F-5, F-10, and F-40) Section 2 (Permitted Uses) by increasing the allowed size of a shed from 100 square feet to 200 square feet and Section 3 Conditional Uses by removing number (16) Recreation Resort and renumbering to reflect that change. Presenter: Jim Gentry 3. Public Comments. 4. Request for a motion to adjourn public hearing and reconvene public meeting. 5. Action on public hearing. H.
