January 24, 2014 Annual Notice of Intent to Prepare Amendments to the Salt Lake County General Plan PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Salt Lake County, Utah intends during the 2014 calendar year to prepare amendments to Salt Lake County General Plans. The proposed amendments may include annual updates to all existing Salt Lake County General Plans as well as the creation of new plans where applicable. The proposed amendments will include comprehensive elements for the growth and development of land, transportation and circulation, open space and other elements considered appropriate within the described areas of the unincorporated County as required by state law. Best Practices will be applicable countywide. Specific projects include*: Parleys Canyon General Plan Big Cottonwood Canyon General Plan Little Cottonwood Canyon General Plan Granite Community General Plan White City Township General Plan Regional Trails Connectivity Master Plan Bicycle Best Practice Additional Best Practice documents Millcreek/Meadowbrook Specific Area Plan New Specific Area plans Updates to existing General Plans This notice is given pursuant to Utah Code Ann. 17-27a-203, and is being sent to those entitled to such notice under Utah Code Ann. 17-27a-203(1), including each ?affected entity? under Utah Code Ann. 17-27a-203(1)(a). Each of the Affected Entities is invited and will have several opportunities to provide information for the County to consider in the process of preparing, adopting, and implementing the proposed plan amendments concerning (a) impacts that the use of land covered by the plan amendments may have on such Affected Entity: and (b) uses of land within the County that such Affected Entity is planning or considering that may conflict with the plan amendments. Pursuant to Utah Code Ann. 17-27a-204, the following represents the first available public hearings at which such amendments could be considered: Kearns Township Planning Commission: February 10, 2014 4:00 p.m. Salt Lake County Planning Commission: February 12, 2014 8:30 a.m. Millcreek Township Planning Commission: February 12, 2014 4:00 p.m. Emigration Township Planning Commission: February 13, 2014 8:30 a.m. Meetings will be held in the Salt Lake County Council Chambers, Salt Lake County Government Center, Room #N1100, North Building, 2001 South State Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84190. Copperton Township Planning Commission: February 11, 2014 6:30 p.m. Meeting will be held at the Bingham Creek Library located at 4834 West 9000 South, Copperton, UT 84006. Magna Township Planning Commission: February 13, 2014 6:30 p.m. Meeting will be held will be held at the Magna Library, 8950 West Magna Main Street (2700 S.), Magna, UT 84044. *Please note that specific projects may not appear before all listed Commissions.
