                NOTICE OF CERTIFICATION OF ANNEXATION PETITION


Pursuant to Section 10-2-406, Utah Code Annotated, Trenton Town, Utah, hereby gives notice as follows:

1.	A Petition proposing the Annexation of real property has been filed with the Town by Aaron & Heidi Klopfenstein and Circle T Land, LLC.

2.	On December 6, 2019, the Trenton Town council received the required Notice of Certification from the Town Recorder certifying that the Petition met the requirements of State Law.

3.	The area proposed for annexation in the Petition is described as follows:


LEGAL DESCRIPTION PART OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 11, TOWNSHIP 13 NORTH, RANGE 1 WEST OF THE SALT LAKE MERIDIAN, LOCATED IN CACHE COUNTY, UTAH, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: COMMENCING AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SAID SECTION ON THE EXISTING TRENTON CITY CORPORATE LIMIT LINE; THENCE LEAVING SAID CORPORATE LIMIT LINE S0°24'05'E 2623.57 FEET, MORE OR LESS, TO THE EAST QUARTER CORNER OF SAID SECTION; THENCE S89°12'53'W 603.15 FEET, MORE OR LESS, (37 RODS BY RECORD) ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID QUARTER SECTION TO THE EXISTING TRENTON CITY CORPORATE LIMIT LINE; THENCE N0°32'32'W 2627.65 FEET, MORE OR LESS, (160 RODS BY RECORD) ALONG SAID EXISTING CORPORATE LIMIT LINE TO THE NORTH LINE OF SAID SECTION; THENCE N89°36'06'E 609.59 FEET, MORE OR LESS, (37 RODS BY RECORD) ALONG SAID EXISTING CORPORATE LIMIT LINE TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINING 36.55 ACRES, MORE OR LESS.

4.	The complete Annexation Petition is available for inspection and copying at the Trenton Town Clerk's office, 17 East Main, Trenton, Utah.

 
5.	Trenton Town may grant the Petition and annex the above described area unless a written protest to the Annexation Petition is filed with the Cache County Boundary Commission, c/o Deon Hunsaker, Chairman, 199 North Main Street, Logan, UT 98321 and a copy of the protest is delivered to the Trenton Town Clerk at the address noted above.  The Petition proposes the annexation of an area that is undeveloped and covers an area that is equivalent to less than 5% of the total land mass of all private real property within Trenton Town. Therefore, any protest must be filed as herein stated no later than January 4, 2020.

6.	A protest to the Petition may be filed with the Commission and Town Recorder by property owners if the protest contains the signatures of the owners of private real property that:

(a) 	Is located in the unincorporated area of Cache County within one-half (1/2) mile of the area proposed for annexation;

(b) 	Covers at least 25% of the private land area located in the unincorporated area of Cache County within one-half (1/2) mile of the area proposed for annexation; and

(c)	Is equal in value to at least 15% of all real property located in the unincorporated area of Cache County within one-half (1/2) mile of the area proposed for annexation.
