                NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
STATEWIDE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (STIP) and TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS (TIPs)

Notice is hereby given that the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), the Wasatch Front Regional Council (WFRC), the Mountainland Association of Government (MAG), the Cache Metropolitan Planning Organization (CMPO) and the Dixie Metropolitan Planning Organization (DMPO) are seeking public review and comment on their respective proposed 2019-2024 Transportation Improvement Programs (TIPs) and corresponding  air quality conformity determinations along with the 2019 2024 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). 

The TIPs are six-year programs of highway, transit, and other transportation projects for southern Box Elder, Cache, Salt Lake, Davis, Utah, Washington and Weber Counties. The STIP is a six-year program of statewide projects. A draft of the proposed documents may be obtained by contacting UDOT, WFRC, MAG, CMPO or the Dixie MPO. UDOT's review and comment period on the proposed documents begins on June 30, 2018, and extends through August 4, 2018.  The review and comment period for each MPO may vary slightly around these dates based on the schedule of their Board meetings.

Other information: Each year Dixie MPO seeks public input on actions taken on the Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) - a list of projects approved to receive MPO funding over the next four years. This year, three entities applied for funds for three separate projects: - Washington Parkway - Old Highway 91 - 100 South I-15 Underpass In January 2018, MPO officials voted to increase funding amounts to two of these projects that had previously been partially funded: 1. Officials voted to add $2.1 million to construct Washington Parkway from I-15's Exit 13 to Green Springs Road (Project #16646). Funds now programmed for the project total $4.6 million. Washington City agreed to pay the local match requirements plus any additional costs of the project. A concept report and map are available at Washington Parkway. 2. Officials also voted to add $300,000 to re-construct and widen Old Highway 91 from 200 East to Shivwits Reservation in Ivins. Funds now programmed for the project total $2.6 million. Ivins City agreed to pay the local match requirements plus any additional costs of the project. A concept report and map are available at Old 91.
