                AMERICAN FORK CITY COUNCIL
SEPTEMBER 22, 2009
*AMENDED - NOTICE OF REGULAR SESSION & AGENDA

REGULAR SESSION

The American Fork City Council will meet in a regular session on September 22, 2009, in the American Fork City Hall, 31 North Church Street, commencing at 7:30 p.m.  The agenda shall be as follows:

1.	Pledge of Allegiance; prayer by Howard Denney; roll call.
2.	Twenty-minute public comment period – limited to two minutes per person.
3.	Presentation of Community Service Awards.
4.	Presentation of the Employee of the Month.
5.	Update on the I-15 CORE project schedule and contractor selection process (20 minutes). – Presenters to be Dal Hawks (Project Director), Todd Jensen (Deputy Project Director) or Merrell Jolley (Engineering Director)
6.	Council Reports.
7.	Mayor’s Report.

COMMON CONSENT AGENDA     (Common Consent is that class of Council action that requires no further discussion or which is routine in nature.  All items on the Common Consent Agenda are adopted by a single motion unless removed from the Common Consent Agenda by the Mayor or a Councilmember and placed in the action items.)
1.	Approval of the September 3, 2009 work session minutes.
2.	Approval of the September 8, 2009 minutes.
3.	Approval of the City bills for payment and purchase requests over $1,000.
ACTION ITEMS
 
1.	Review and action on an amendment to the June 4, 2009, City Council work session minutes. – Mayor Thompson
2.	Review and action on an amendment to the August 25, 2009, City Council minutes. – Councilmember Kramer
3.	Review and action on appointments to citizen committees & boards, council committees & boards, and city staff positions.  – Mayor Thompson 
4.	Review and action on a Resolution amending the Arts Council Bylaws. – Lori England 
5.	Review and action on a revised Ordinance regulating parking in the vicinity of the American Fork High School. – Kasey Wright
6.	Review and action on a Resolution approving an Interlocal Agreement with Utah County, along with other communities regarding CDBG Grants. – Mayor Thompson 
*7.  	Review and action on the granting of a Class A Beer License to Associated Fresh Markets at 135 East Main Street.  (formerly Albertsons) – Dennis Jensen  
*8.  	Review and action on the granting of an Alcoholic Beverage License to DC Equities, LLC, (DBA Rodizio Grill) at 749 West 100 North.  (formerly La Vigna) – David L. Knighton
9.  	Review and action on an election canvass by the City Council sitting as a Board of Canvassers for the September 15, 2009, Primary Election. – City Council  
10. 	Review and action on construction items including change orders and tasks orders. – Staff  
11.	Review and action on entering into an executive session to discuss pending litigation. – Mayor Thompson
12.	Adjournment.
