- PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Laketown Planning and Zoning will hold a public hearing on WEDNESDAY, April 30, 2025 at 8:00pm at the Laketown Offices, 10 N. 200 E., Laketown, UT Public Hearing on Proposed Ordinance Amendment Regarding Building Permit Deadlines. The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider amending the land use code to establish a 180-day deadline for commencement of construction following the issuance of a building permit. The proposed change is intended to clarify expectations and promote timely construction activity after permit approval. The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider amending the land use code to allow the storage of up to four trailers on vacant lots. Currently, without a permit no trailers can be stored on a vacant lot. The agenda for the meeting is as follows: (NOTE: The agenda may be accelerated or the line items may be discussed in any order.) Welcome 1. Pledge of Allegiance 2. Minutes 3. Review wording for establishing a 180-day deadline for commencement of construction. 4. Review ordinance for allowing trailer storage of trailers on vacant lots. 5. PUBLIC HEARING - scheduled to start at 8:30pm a. Laketown Building Permit Ordinance Update - The Town is proposing amending the land use code to establish a 180-day deadline for commencement of construction following the issuance of a building permit. The proposed change is intended to clarify expectations and promote timely construction activity after permit approval. i. Brief Summary/Presentation By Laketown Planning and Zoning Commissioner ii. Motion/Second/Vote to open the Public Hearing iii. Call the public for comments (Note: Public should state name clearly for the record.) iv. Motion/Second/Vote to close the Public Hearing v. Additional Planning Commission discussion (if needed) vi. Motion/Second/Vote to either: 1. Recommend approval to the Town Council; 2. Recommend approval to the Town Council with modifications; OR 3. Recommend denial to the Town Council with reasons therefore. b. Laketown Ordinance Amendment Ordinance Update - The Town is proposing amending the land use code to allow the storage of up to four trailers on vacant lots. i.
