Housing and provide feedback

implementation programs.
Why: Ensure compliance with
new Legislation and implement
community housing vision by
October 1st, 2022.
Background:
In 2019, Kearns, Magna, White City, and Unincorporated Salt Lake County
adopted Moderate Income Housing Plans in compliance with new State
Legislation. In 2022, Utah again modified its requirements relating to
Moderate Income Housing strategies and implementation efforts. The
changes trigger a need for communities to amend their existing
plans prior to October 1st, 2022. MSD Planning Staff, in collaboration
with municipalities and the County, will guide this effort.
Event Details:
June 29th: During the first portion of the event, staff will present
on Moderate Income Housing needs, State Code requirements, and
available strategies for coming into compliance. In the second half of
the night, staff will facilitate community-specific discussions related to
desired actions for promoting moderate-income housing.
Questions may be directed
to Kayla Mauldin (KMauldin@msd.utah.gov).
