Updated Email contacts UDOT (Craig Hancock) U.S 40 Bridge Deck and Roadway Improvements- Westbound (Uphill) from the Provo River Bridge to Summit County Line. Provo Canyon- Barrier replacement/upgrades. Update on various projects in the area. MAG Potential combined Wasatch Back RPO discussion - Summit County is interested in creating an RPO. This would be a discussion regarding the option to combine with the current Wasatch RPO and related issues. (Robert Allen) Continue the partnership to fund the trail planner and grant writer positions discussion. (Jim Price) Discussion of possible bypass, and related petition. https://hebervalleyeis.udot.utah.gov/alternative-concepts/ (Mayor Celeste Johnson) Midway City (Mayor Celeste Johnson) Request for the county to provide an update on the affordable housing study, staff, etc. Request for the school board to provide an update on the citizens groups input, new bond, etc. Discussion about Dark Sky in Midway and potentially Valley Wide. Discussion about RAP tax- Is County going for it again? Can municipalities? Consistent wage and benefits for county and municipal employees. Hideout (Chris Baier) Regional Transit/transportation update including vision for the next decade, including the Jordanelle area, and covering the current state of cooperation between Wasatch and Summit Counties. Coordination and collaboration on Dark Sky initiatives amongst the various government entities currently implementing or considering adopting. Hideout is considering adopting. Housing sustainability: Where will the future regional workforce live? (Even formerly modest-priced housing has become unattainable to many). What tools, techniques, or best practices can governments use to increase the availability of more diverse housing? Projected economic benefits and positive/negative impacts to the region due to the development of the Mayflower Resort. Next Interlocal Meeting: Wednesday, July 27th, 2022.
