2021 Water System Improvements CIB (Permanent Community Impact Fund Board-PCIFB) Application
Dutch John Flow Regulation Tank & Culinary Water Treatment Plant
Project Overview:
Funding Considerations- The Purpose of this hearing is to address the funding application. The question for the public is if this project is one that the community impact board should fund when they have multiple other requests for the same funds which have also dwindled in the last few years.
Funds being requested totals $4,251,000 from CIB
Comments for and against the project are welcomed and appreciated
If this is a project that should or should not be funded, why is it needed and what other considerations should be made as to the need of the project
All funding options must be considered. The county is looking as to what amount of debt that could be taken on. Or if other grants could be acquired to help with obligations for a loan grant split.
The possibility of a 100% loan from the CIB with interest must be considered and input from the public on that scenario would be good. If that funding package came back from the CIB Meeting this board would be the decision makers, but from our review of the finances, there are not sufficient funds in the county to cover an all-loan option and still meet the other obligations in the budget.
Please make comments relative to the need/lack of need for the project and if you feel like funds should/shouldn't be expended on the proposed improvements. Do you support the district requesting funds for the proposed improvements from the CIB?
