Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Supplemental Funding - 2nd Public Hearing Five County Association of Governments will hold a public hearing to discuss the projects determined to be applied for in the CDBG-CV program. This supplemental CDBG funding is authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act known as the CARES Act. These special CDBG-CV funds will be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). The hearing will begin at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the Beaver City Office Building, conference room #3, 30 W. 300 N. Beaver, UT 84713. This meeting will also be available via telephone conference call at 1-800-444-2801, when prompted, enter your 7-digit conference code (8143271). All interested parties and the public are invited to participate via phone. Please mute your phone when you are not talking. The Five County region will receive a first and second round of CDBG-CV funding. Five County Association of Governments will administer the following project for the first round of funding: Small Business Emergency Grants located in Beaver, Garfield, Iron, Kane, and Washington Counties. A Meals on Wheels vehicle will be purchased for Garfield County and an ultraviolet light sanitizer system will be purchased for Kane County. The funding decisions for second round of CDBG-CV funding will be made just prior to this public hearing during the Five County AOG Steering Committee meeting scheduled at 1:30 P.M. Comments will be solicited on projects' scope, implementation, and the effects on residents for both the first and second round of funding.
