NOTICE: PROVO CITY COUNCIL IS ACCEPTING MEMBER APPLICATIONS FOR THE METROPOLITAN WATER BOARD DISTRICT.
Notice is hereby given that the Municipal Council of Provo, Utah is accepting member applications for the Metropolitan Water Board District.
The Metropolitan Water District is an independent agency created by the City under the authority of state law that manages certain water rights within Provo City boundaries, repays the debt related to Deer Creek Dam, and occasionally provides funding for wells and piping. The District is run by a board of trustees that currently consists of seven members. One of the members is a City employee responsible for the City's water supply and distribution. The remaining board members are appointed by the Municipal Council and may not be employees or elected or appointed officials of Provo City.
