APPROVAL OF JUNE 11, 2019 MINUTES:
Councilmember Katrina Long moved to make a motion to accept the minutes of JUNE 11, 2019 as corrected. A second was made by Councilmember Micheal Stringer. The vote was unanimous. (1st Motion)
PLANNING AND ZONING:
No Report
DELEGATIONS:
Kayson Keyte came before the council to present his Eagle Scout project. Kayson gave the council pictures and verbally told them what he will be doing, which will be clearing the Mona City entry signs of weeds and planting flowers around the signs to spruce them up a bit.
He asked for approval from the council to accept his Eagle project, with Councilmember Jay Mecham moving to make a motion to accept Kayson Keyte's Eagle project as presented to the council, with a second by Councilmember Micheal Stringer. Motion carried, (2nd Motion).
MONA CITY COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 25, 2019
Glen and Kathleen Pearmain came before the council to ask for an extension on their case against the Mona City Nuisance Code.
A letter was sent on May 7, 2019, stating they were not in compliance with the Nuisance code.
Mayor Mills ask the Pearmains to keep their corrals clean and added the manure can be cleaned up and taken to the green waste site.
The council has passed them off and the Pearmains are moving forward to be in compliance with Mona City's Nuisance Code. Mayor Mills thanked them for working on keeping in compliance with the code.
Councilmember Stringer said, 'It's looking good, keep up the good work.'
SECRETARY/TREASURER/ RECORDER REPORT:
Michelle Dalton; Secretary/Treasurer reported she had a few calls on the movement of toilet water in homes. This happens when the sewer lines are being cleaned Dalton told the council and can possible be a little intimidating to the homeowner experiencing this.
DIRECTOR OF FINANCES:
Director of Finances Everd Squire presented the Mona City Disbursement Listing for checking dated 06/12/2019 to 06/25/2019; Everd asked if there were questions on the disbursement list. There were no questions to be addressed.
There were four (4) checks over the allotted amount of $2,000.
The report has been initialed by each council member and attached to the minutes for public viewing.
COUNCIL BUSINESS:
Councilmember Katrina Long is working with bids on the basketball court; Snap Sports presented a bid along with sharing different options for an outdoor basketball court, Councilmember Long said another company from Nevada was contacted but they never returned her call.
Councilmember Long will present three (3) bids for a regulation half court at the July 9th Council meeting.
She will not hold a committee meeting until the last Wednesday in July, to do a recap on the celebration.
Preparation is in full swing for the July 24 celebration, the Mona City Pioneer Celebration Dinner will be held on Friday July 19 at 6:00 p.m., and will be catered and hosted by Lucinda Kay; tickets will be available at the city office.
Councilmember Long would like to know how much cash is needed for the celebration, and make sure the amount is sufficient.
Councilmember Randy Christensen met with two engineers in reference to the water tanks; Jones & DeMille, and Jesse from Sunrise Engineering. He is hopeful the CIB will be able to assist in the funding. He will keep the council updated.
Councilmember Jay Mecham gave a brief update on the sewer.

Councilmember Micheal Stringer: they are getting the streets mowed, the water line on 1st north has been fixed, and they will start laying asphalt on the roads when they receive bids.
Mayor William Mills ended the council session by reminding the council and those in attendance in regard to fire hazards, especially with the 4th of July coming up in a week. He said Tony is doing a good job mowing the right of ways.
Residence need to be aware of the hot dry weather that has been forecast.
There have been some complaints in regard to barking dogs.
Mayor asked Councilmember Riding if he has had any word on an ATV class. Councilmember Riding told the council, 'I advertise each time we have a class and only six or seven kids show up.' Councilmember Riding continued, 'The last time the sheriff's office was going to teach a class, there was no one who signed up.' He will do a follow up with the sheriff's department to keep the council posted on an upcoming class.
Councilmember Long suggested having a scout seeking to earn an Eagle project take a class to complete his project. 'That might be a better thing.' Long said.

There were three (3) motions voted upon and passed, a Motion to approve the Minutes of June 9, 2019, a Motion to approve Kyson Keyte's Eagle project, and a Motion, to adjourn this meeting of June 25, 2019,
PAY FINANCES ADJOURNMENT:
Councilmember Katrina Long moved to make a motion to pay the finances and adjourn, a second was made by Councilmember Randy Christensen, the vote was unanimous, motion carried. (3rd Motion)
The city council meeting was then adjourned at 9:03 p.m., with no further comments.
