APPROVAL OF MAY 14, 2019 MINUTES:
Councilmember Randy Christensen moved to make a motion to accept the minutes of May 14, 2019 as corrected. A second was made by Councilmember Katrina Long. The vote was unanimous. (1st Motion)

DELEGATIONS:
SECRETARY/TREASURER/ RECORDER REPORT:
Michelle Dalton;Secretary/Treasurer reminded the council and those in attendance about a construction notice from the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advising residents, businesses, and motorists of a roadway rehabilitation project on SR-54 (200 North) from I-15 to Main Street slated for early June 2019. The project will include the following:
- Upgrade pedestrian ramp to bring in compliance with current Americans with Disability Act, (ADA) standards
- Removal and replacement of existing asphalt
- New striping

The tentative work schedule will be May 30-31 Concrete Work, June 3 Remove Asphalt, June 4-8 New Asphalt.

Michelle reported a clog rain gutter in the front area of the city building that needs to be taken care of.
There is a new home in the Mt. View Estes where the gas line is nowhere to be found. The address is 27 West 850 South. The council will look into locating that gas line so the homeowners can make a connection to the city gas line.
She asked if an ATV class will be scheduled, if so she needs the time and dates to put in the newsletter. Councilmember Riding will update the information on the ATV class during the next council meeting.
City Recorder Lyla Spencer reported the Candidate Filing Period for the upcoming election begins Monday June 3, 2019 at 8:00 a.m.; Candidate Filing Deadline ends Friday June 7th at 5:00 p.m.
DIRECTOR OF FINANCES:
Director of Finances Everd Squire presented the Mona City Disbursement Listing for checking dated 05/15/2019 to 05/28/2019; Everd asked if there were questions on the disbursement list. There was one question by Councilmember Katrina Long in regard to
Check # 3432 in the amount of $5,000, issued to Full Spectrum Inc. The question was answered sufficiently.
There were eight (8) checks over the allotted amount of $2,000.
The report has been initialed by each council member and attached to the minutes for public viewing.
Everd reminded the council if they have questions on the budget or want to add to a budget item, let him know. The budget will be presented to amend the 2019 budget and to adopt the proposed budget for fiscal year 2020 June 11th as a Public Hearing.
COUNCIL BUSINESS:
Councilmember Katrina Long presented a draft agenda for the Pioneer Day Celebration, and reminded the council she will chair a Celebration Committee meeting on May 29th at 10:00 a.m. if the council has questions in regard to the agenda, let her know before her meeting.
She called several companies to get bids for the basketball court set up; at the next city council meeting she will submit a few quotes for the council to review.
Councilmember Jay Mecham reminded the council about a water main break at 100 N and approximately 300 E. He will get Taurus Plumbing to put cameras in the line so the problem can be detected and hopefully resolved.

There were two (2) motions voted upon and passed, a Motion to approve the Minutes of May 14, 2019, and a Motion, to adjourn this meeting of May 28, 2019,
PAY FINANCES ADJOURNMENT:
Councilmember Micheal Stringer moved to make a motion to pay the finances and adjourn, a second was made by Councilmember Katrina Long, the vote was unanimous, motion carried. (2nd Motion)
The city council meeting was then adjourned at 7:47 p.m., with no further comments; the council immediately went into an executive session.
AN EXECUTIVE SESSION IF NECESSARY:
An executive session was called by Mayor William M. Mills at 7:52 p.m. for the purpose of holding a strategy session to discuss pending or reasonable imminent litigation.
Those present were Mayor William M. Mills, Lyla R. Spencer City Recorder, Councilmember's; Katrina Long, Michael Stringer, Jay Mecham, Randy Christensen and Frank Riding, also present were Mona City Engineer Richard Hatfield, Director of Finance Everd Squire and Water Operator Jonathan Jones.
Mayor Mills asked for an adjournment at 9:26 p.m. with Councilmember Katrina Long moving to make a motion to adjourn the executive meeting with a second by Councilmember Micheal Stringer. Motion carried, vote unanimous.
