APPROVAL OF DECEMBER 11, 2018 MINUTES:
Councilmember Micheal Stringer moved to make a motion to accept the minutes of December 11, 2018 as corrected. A second was made by Councilmember Katrina Long. The vote was unanimous in favor of the motion. (1st Motion)

DIRECTOR OF FINANCES:
With the absence of Director of Finances Everd Squire, Michelle Dalton Secretary/Treasurer presented the Mona City Disbursement Listing for checking dated 12/12/2018 to 1/8/2019; she asked if there were questions on the disbursement list. There were questions on, check #3139 in the amount of $15,000, issued to Century Equipment Company, Check #3143 in the amount of $2,831.25, issued to Taurus Plumbing &

Excavating, Check #3154 in the amount of $264.02, issued to Kilgore Companies, LLC, Check #3165 in the amount of $51,440.30, issued to the Utah State Division of Finance, and Check # 3169 in the amount of $4,250.00, issued to VRW Construction Service. Questions were answered sufficiently.
There were seven (7) checks over the allotted amount of $2,000.
The report has been initialed by each council member and attached to the minutes for public viewing.
COUNCIL BUSINESS:
There were no fence permit, or new business licenses presented.
Councilmember Randy Christensen reported Mona City will delay applying for a CDBG grant until next year because the city could not get the needed paper work completed on time. We needed to complete an income survey, which would have taken two weeks to complete, which would put the city over the deadline to be considered for the grant funding.
Mayor William Mills ask for a voice vote on a signature line on the shut off notices for the natural gas, to read an adult must be present before restoration of natural gas.
Mills told the council and those present, 'I would like it to read that before turning the gas back on, the order must be signed by an adult.'
The council supported Mayor Mills in his request and Michelle Dalton Secretary/Treasurer will make certain there is a signature line on the restoration order for the future.
As advertised on the agenda as an item, was the selection of a new councilmember to replace Councilmember Jonathan Jones who resigned on December 11th.
Mayor Mills told the council and those present, 'We did not receive any applications for the council seat during the allotted time frame.'
Mills continued, 'I have consulted with our attorney Kasey Wright and we will go back out for another 30 days. According to Wright, that will be legal.
Mayor Mills added, 'Hopefully, someone will submit an application in time to be within the 30 day time frame.'
Mayor Mills ended the council session by reminding the council of the upcoming Water Group and Council Work Session to be held prior to city council at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd in the council meeting room.

PAY FINANCES ADJOURNMENT:
Councilmember Randy Christensen made a motion to pay the finances and adjourn, a second was made by Councilmember Micheal Stringer, the vote was unanimous, motion carried. (2nd Motion)
The city council meeting was then adjourned at 7:50 p.m., with no further comments.
