SALT LAKE CITY (Feb. 20, 2018) - Today, Gov. Gary R. Herbert signed two bills, bringing the total number of signed pieces of legislation from the 2018 General Legislative Session so far to six.

Since Gov. Herbert began making appointments to the board in 2009, he has chosen to rotate the leadership role between members every three to four years. SALT LAKE CITY (Nov. 1, 2017) - The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) today announced its approval of a 2016 request from the state of Utah to expand Medicaid services to 4,000 - 6,000 Utah adults without dependent children. The approval also includes authority to use federal funds to provide residential substance abuse treatment services to Medicaid recipients.

SALT LAKE CITY (Oct. 31, 2017) - Gov. Gary R. Herbert has appointed Judge Paige Petersen to serve as a justice on the Utah Supreme Court. If confirmed Judge Petersen will fill the vacancy created by Justice Christine Durham, who will retire on Nov. 15, 2017.
