SALT LAKE CITY (March 30, 2015) ? Gov. Gary R. Herbert signed an additional 86 bills today, bringing the total number of bills the governor has taken action on from the 2015 General Legislative Session to 397. The Legislature passed 528 bills this session, 495 of which require action by the governor.

Gov. Gary R. Herbert will sign three tribe-related bills during a special ceremony.

Herbert signed an additional 59 bills today, bringing the total number of bills the governor has taken action on from the 2015 General Legislative Session to 311. The Legislature passed 528 bills this session, 495 of which require action by the governor.

SALT LAKE CITY (March 26, 2015) - Gov. Gary R. Herbert signed an additional 50 bills into law bringing the total number of bills the governor has taken action on from the 2015 General Legislative Session to 252. That total now includes two bills signed during the session that were omitted from previous counts. The Legislature passed 528 bills this session, 495 of which require action by the governor.

SALT LAKE CITY (March 20, 2015) - Gov. Gary R. Herbert signed 36 bills today. To date the governor has signed a total of 47 bills passed during the 2015 Legislative session. The governor signed the following 2015 bills:

With today's announcement, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has ignored Utah's successful model and chosen to embrace a one-size-fits-all approach for regulating hydraulic fracturing that reduces the ability of states to respond to local needs. This federally-led regulatory approach increases costs and delays for industry and may threaten Utah's proven ability to effectively regulate oil and gas production in Utah.
