SALT LAKE CITY - Sponsors of two initiative petitions - "Utah Redistricting Standards Commission" and "Government Ethics Reform" - have failed to obtain the number of signatures necessary to qualify for placement on the ballot.

SALT LAKE CITY - Lieutenant Governor Greg Bell and the Division of Housing and Community Development will release the results of a snapshot survey showing Utah's homeless population during a press conference on Friday, May 14 at 10:30 a.m. in room 240 of the State Capitol. The survey reflects a decrease by four percent in the total number of homeless and a decrease of 42 percent in chronic homelessness since last year.
Governor Gary R. Herbert signed a declaration which declared May 3-9, 2010 as Public Service Recognition Week. This declaration encourages citizens to recognize the accomplishment and contributions of government employees at all levels. In appreciation of Public Service Recognition Week, Lt. Governor Greg Bell will visit with, and work alongside, State employees at the Farmington DMV.
