SALT LAKE CITY - In accordance with Utah Code Annotated SS 20A-14-105, Governor Gary R. Herbert has certified the following names to the Lt. Governor's Office for inclusion on the 2012 ballot as candidates for the State Board of Education.

SALT LAKE CITY - Utah has the 49th lowest average in the nation for the amount of time claimants receive Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits.  According to new data released by the U.S. Department of Labor, the average UI duration rate was 14.4 weeks for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2012.

SALT LAKE CITY - Governor Gary R. Herbert today put the brakes on vehicle emissions by signing an executive order requiring all 7,300 state vehicles to be turned off whenever they are expected to idle more than 30 seconds. The order signifies Utah's commitment to improve air quality through the Governor's statewide initiative Utah Clean Air Partnership (U-CAIR).

Governor Greg Bell's chief of staff, Stewart will replace Amanda Smith as energy adviser and Smith will remain executive director of the Dept. of Environmental Quality.

SALT LAKE CITY - In response to the data breach of Medicaid file information on a Utah Department of Technology Services (DTS) server, Governor Gary R. Herbert called for a comprehensive audit of all state technology security and data storage procedures, as well as a specific audit of the handling of personal information in this recent incident.

Salt Lake City, UT - The 3rd District Judicial Nominating Commission has scheduled a meeting for April 17 at 2:00 pm to review applications of individuals interested in filling judicial vacancies resulting from the retirement of Judge Sandra N. Peuler and the pending retirement of Judge Tyrone E. Medley. The Commission will meet in the conference room of the Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice.

The project, located on 206,826 gas-producing acres in Uintah and Duchesne counties, includes 1,298 new gas wells on 575 well pads over a period of 15 years.

Salt Lake City - Today Lieutenant Governor Greg Bell announced the launch of the "Find My Caucus Location" tool on vote.utah.gov. The caucus location tool displays the date, time, and location of each participating political party's neighborhood caucus meeting by voting precinct.
